8th TNNLU–Antitrust National Moot Court Competition, 2026

ABOUT 8th TNNLU–Antitrust National Moot Court Competition, 2026:

The Tamil Nadu National Law University is organising the 8th TNNLU–Antitrust National Moot Court Competition, 2026 scheduled to take place in hybrid mode with the preliminary and quarter finals rounds happening virtually from 3rd & 4th of April, 2026 and advanced rounds taking place offline on 18th of April, 2026.

Venue: Hybrid

THEME:

This year’s edition focuses on the Interface between Antitrust Law and its Regulation of Intellectual Outputs produced by Dominant Businesses using Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) technologies.

ELIGIBILITY:

Law students duly enrolled in the 3-year LL.B. courses or 5-year integrated LL.B. courses undergraduate programmes may apply to participate in the Competition. Any number of teams per Institution/University can participate in the Competition. 

REGISTRATION FEES

The teams shall be required to pay a fee of INR 1,000/- (for memorial elimination rounds) towards registration prior to filling of the form and attach proof of payment while filling the Registration form. On qualification, the teams shall be required to pay an additional fees of INR 6,000/- (inclusive accommodation). These fees shall be non-refundable in case of withdrawal by a team.

The important dates of the 8th TNNLU-Antitrust National Moot Court Competition, 2026 are as detailed below: 

  • February 13, 2026 – Release of Moot Proposition, Rulebook and Brochure
  • March 1, 2026 – Last Date for Registration
  • March 2, 2026 - Last date for seeking clarifications
  • March 4, 2026 - Release of clarifications
  • March 23, 2026 – Last Date for Submission of Memorials (Soft Copy)
  • April 3, 2026 – Inaugural Ceremony, Orientation & Researcher’s Test
  • April 4, 2026 – Preliminary & Quarter-Final Rounds
  • April 18, 2026 – Semi-Finals, Finale & Valedictory Ceremony.

Registration Procedure

All Institutions interested in participation may register themselves by sending an email to nmcc@tnnlu.ac.in and thereby reserve a slot for the institution on before 1st March 2026 (11:59pm)
