Film Club

The TNNLU Film club is an extra-curricular club under the Students Activities Forum with a faculty advisor and student members. The Club screens movies every week, followed by discussions on various issues portrayed through the film or a related theme. It also screens biographies, documentaries, and short films at times. The Film club of TNNLU has been striving to introduce critical thought-provoking movies to the TNNLU fraternity. Being students of law, this club looks closely at understanding the world through the lens of film. The Film Club continued its activities online even though the pandemic times. Since its inception, the Film Club has screened various movies relating to the themes of Women Empowerment, Life struggles, Little Joys of Life, Comedy, Villainy, Unconventional Heroes, Crimes, Courtroom Drama, Shakespeare Week, Teachers & Student mentorship, Gandhi Jayanthi, Children’s Day, International Human Rights Day. In collaboration with the TNNLU Mental Health Club, Solace, the club screened films for World Mental Health Day. As a step forward, the Film Club also plans to conduct Podcasts regularly. The first TNNLU Vision Podcast was conducted on the theme ‘Greatest Movie Villains of All Time’ and uploaded to the Instagram handle of the Club.
