Library is the heart of every educational institution. The Tamil Nadu National Law University Library (started in Sept 2013) is located at the centre of the campus and housed in a three-storeyed of 3,400 sq metre providing seating for around 200 users, having adequate stack halls, reading halls, discussion rooms, digital library hall etc.
The open access system provides for access to its collection of about 16,000 documents including reports and journals like All India Reporter, All England Reporter, AIR Manual, Halsbury laws of England, Corpus Juris Secundum, Labour Law Journal, Madras Law Journal, Current Tamil Nadu Cases, Criminal Law Journal, Company Cases etc.


The Library subscribes to 13 print journals besides magazines and newspapers. The major online databases that are subscribed to are:
Westlaw India,
Kluwer Arbitration,
Manupatra
SCC Online,
HeinOnline,
Indiastat,
JSTOR,
CDJ Journal,
Economic & Political Weekly,
Indian Historical Review,
Current Criminal Reports,
The databases can be accessed across the campus on LAN and Wi-Fi.
The Library is open 18 hours a day, and almost all days of the year (except national holidays) as per the following timings -
Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 12:00 am
Saturday 6.00 am to 10 pm
Sundays, Holidays and Vacations 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
Books issue and return 09.00 am to 6.00 pm

The Library is fully automated. Implementation of RFID & Digital Library Assistant, Magnetic Tattle Tapes and Security Gate (for security purpose) are on the anvil.CCTV installation helps in support service.
